Mark Brantley was born on Monday June 22, 2009 at 8:40 am. He wasn't supposed to be born until June 29th, but he decided it was time (Thank God!!). I woke up that morning at around 2:00 am having pains. Being that I've never gone into labor I wasn't even sure I was having real contractions or what was going on. I took a shower, watched T.V., then I decided to call my Dr around 3:30. Of course he told me to go to Labor & Delivery. I woke Adam up around 4. He was in a deep sleep poor guy and wasn't sure what to think. We ended up taking Kierstin with us to the hospital as well. The entire way there Adam kept asking me if I was sure I was in labor. He didn't believe me because I wasn't screaming in pain like they do in the movies. Believe me it HURT, but there was no need in being dramatic about it. So at 8 I walked back to the OR (I had a c-section) and Mark Brantley was here 40 minutes later!! Having a son is amazing! It's a little different changing diapers, but I'm getting used to it. Kierstin is a wonderful Big Sister and adores her Baby Brother! Adam and I are blessed!
